Pilates was originally created by a man, for men. It is surprising that many men consider Pilates a “woman’s” mode of exercise. More and more professional sports teams and athletes, however, are popularizing Pilates for men due to its amazing results. Smart men have learned that Pilates gives them the competitive edge both physically and mentally. Men can quickly and easily reap the incredible benefits of Pilates and improve core strength, gain more flexibility, enhance sports performance, and relieve stress. Pilates will help reduce injuries, assist recovery, and reduce back pain. Pilates is excellent for men looking for everyday function and fitness. Pilates will help relieve and frequently improve symptoms from special health considerations (arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.) and side effects of medication.
Springs Pilates Pleasanton is located in a private gym and has a professional, and gender-neutral décor and atmosphere. Men frequent our location for both physical therapy and Pilates. Most of our male clientele have commented that our studio is more approachable and comfortable for them to be in than studios that are more spa-like or cater to women.
While we have offered specific Pilates for Men classes in the past, we find that most men are just as comfortable and successful in our regular Small Group classes or Individual sessions. Our schedule offers over 30 mat and equipment classes each week which makes Pilates very convenient and affordable for men. We also offer a Family Discount so family members can share packages and save money.
We have two Pilates for Golf® certified instructors, and are experienced working with other sports including tennis, cycling, running, and swimming.
You may request a male-only class if you prefer, and we will do or best to provide you with workout partners. Better yet, bring your golf buddies or tennis teammates and we will create custom Pilates sports conditioning workouts just for your group. We also offer on site training on the course, court, or field.
