Pilates will teach our children and teens how to formulate the good posture and healthy fitness habits that will take them through the rest of their lives. The mind and body aspects of Pilates can guide children and teens to better focus in school, improved sports or physical education class performance, and a better awareness and control of their constantly changing bodies. Pilates will help create balanced musculature to alleviate pain and reduce the potential for injury now or later. Pilates movement and breathing techniques will aid in stress release, an increasing problem seen in our youth today.
We make Pilates for youth and teens fun, while scaling down the exercises or equipment used to make it age appropriate. Many of our dedicated teens are able to participate in our regular, Small Group Classes after satisfying movement prerequisites and with instructor permission.
