Katherine is an exercise and movement specialist with over 30 years experience in the health and fitness industry. She became a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor in 2007 after two years of intensive study and apprentice teaching hours. Katherine completed additional certification and education programs including Pilates for Golf® and Pink Ribbon Program® Post Breast Cancer Rehabilitation. Katherine has trained with the Arthritis Foundation, and completed extensive studies in osteoporosis, scoliosis, and other spinal conditions. Katherine has assisted many post-rehab clients especially those with knee or hip replacements, and she is very patient working with them to increase their range of motion and strength while re-integrating whole body movement back in to their workout programs. Many of Katherine’s post-rehab clients are able to take small group Pilates classes under her careful tutelage. She carefully follows all ACOG guidelines when working with pre-and post-natal clients. Katherine has had great success improving functional fitness by gently encouraging clients with arthritis, fibromyalgia, and Parkinson’s Disease.
Not only a knowledgeable and caring instructor, Katherine’s background in theater and dance in her college years, as well as her adult experience as a Jazzercise instructor, competitive recreational tennis player, and cyclist, helps her create movement classes and Individual sessions that are well-choreographed and purpose specific, especially in sports conditioning for golf, tennis and cycling.
She also has experience working with equestrians, and teen dancers and tennis teams. Katherine has worked with all ages and levels of clients. Seniors and post-rehab clients relate very well to her patient and responsive teaching style and personality.
Katherine is a native of Pleasanton and graduate of Amador High School and the University of California, Berkeley. She is an accomplished cook and frequently teaches cooking classes in the Tri-Valley area with emphasis on healthy gourmet food and nutrition. Katherine, her husband, and daughter play tennis, golf, cycle, and travel together. Katherine also “holds still” occasionally and loves to knit, read, and watch movies.
Juliana Campbell, Instructor

Juliana has been practicing Pilates for over six years and it was an easy decision for her to pursue her Pilates instructor training. Juliana discovered that the precision and corrective body alignment of the Pilates method helped her recover and strengthen from injuries sustained during her competitive dance and tournament tennis years. A lifelong performer and athlete, Juliana participated in jazz, tap, and ballet competitions for two local studios, and she was also the #1 Singles Player and Captain of her Amador High School Girls Tennis team. Juliana realized Pilates bettered her core stability, mobility, and strength, key components that were so often missing from the physical training she received from her traditional fitness coaches. Noted for her poise and carriage on stage or court, the discipline and focus of Pilates translated to enhance Juliana’s calm presence and ease of movement while performing under the pressure of competitive sports.
After her introduction to Reformer Pilates in 2008, Juliana very quickly progressed from private sessions to working out at the advanced levels with seasoned instructor groups on the Mat, Chair, and Cadillac. Additionally, Juliana coached junior tennis players after school and during summers, using the biomechanical understanding she gleaned from Pilates to keep her players’ tennis workouts safe and effective. During college, Juliana kept up her Pilates training in Tucson while completing three years of intense studies to receive her BS in Psychology from the University of Arizona.
Juliana has experienced sessions from many different instructors trained by different Pilates schools but there was no doubt that she would choose superior, contemporary STOTT PILATES® instructor training when it came time to start her own journey towards becoming an instructor. Juliana plans to become certified on all mat and apparatus and teach while she attends graduate school. Juliana is applying for Fall 2015 admittance to earn her Psychology Doctorate. Juliana knows the integrative approach of body and mind in Pilates will help her to more effectively treat the whole patient when she eventually opens her own office as a clinical psychologist.

Dina has a background in competitive dance and dance instruction over more than 22 years that has given her a deep appreciation for the importance of flexibility, strength, and awareness of one’s body. While relatively new to Pilates over the past two years, when the opportunity to train to become an instructor presented itself, she jumped in.
Throughout her 20 year career in retail leadership, Dina’s passion has been to inspire and enable others to reach their full potential. While she has been actively engaged in multiple fitness regimens including yoga and barre over many years, it was not until she discovered Pilates that she found a new way to help people achieve their goals in other areas of their life. She is currently training in STOTT PILATES® Mat, and looks forward to the chance to help even more people identify and reach their goals.
Dina has recently moved to California but her heart will always feel a pull toward her native New Orleans. Just as she would have welcomed you to the French Quarter with an openness to your personal style and interests, she will find a style that suits you in Pilates.

Dina Stepanek is a Licensed Physical Therapist with 27 years of clinical experience in neurological, orthopedic, manual, and pediatric therapy. Dina now teaches rehabilitation-based STOTT PILATES® Reformer and Mat classes, and private sessions for Springs Pilates Pleasanton.
As a runner, Dina has a special interest and training to evaluate and treat running related injuries. Dina has volunteer coached K-8th grade CYO track because she feels that developing a good running habit as children will lead to better running gait and less likelihood of running injuries as adults.
Dina firmly believes in having control of your body with a balance between strength and flexibility.
Besides working as a clinical physical therapist, Pilates instructor, and mother of four children, Dina stays active with swimming, bicycling, hiking and backpacking, kayaking and surfing.

Marilyn has been a court reporter and senior administrator for 35 years in the Canadian and US court systems and started therapeutic Pilates when a work injury had her seeking out a more holistic remedy for neck and back strain. She was hooked after her first session and has been working on the Reformer and apparatus for the past ten years.
Marilyn is currently transitioning to her encore career and looks forward to sharing her skills full-time in the near future. Marilyn is working with clients as a STOTT PILATES® trained Instructor on the Reformer, a MELT® Method Hand & Foot Instructor, and a Certified Integrative Health Coach. Marilyn has great success with court reporters using the MELT® Method to revitalize their natural healing systems to help prevent stress and repetitive injuries, and she can teach others how to use MELT® Method to relieve chronic body issues including back and neck pain. Through her health coaching, Marilyn offers the opportunity to make integrative transitions in life that will enhance one’s wellness and longevity.
Pilates is the mainstay that has played a major part in Marilyn’s wellbeing and she enthusiastically wants it to become a part of yours.

After enjoying a variety of physical activities as a child and competing as an athlete, Elizabeth K. was introduced to Pilates while recovering from an overuse injury. She enjoys the mind-body approach, focus on restoring alignment, and the challenge of precise movements Pilates provides. She has done her STOTT PILATES® training with Mindful Movement Collective in Newark and Blue Sparrow in San Francisco.
