Pilates provides an excellent way to work back to function and fitness if you are recovering from injury, experiencing chronic pain or had surgery, or need to improve your mobility, strength, and balance. The focus on Pilates is on the smaller support muscles of the abdomen and spine, as well as the muscles that surround and support most joints. You can safely do Pilates every day without overstressing your muscles or joints, so we encourage a Pilates home practice as well as regular private sessions.
Pilates can help you restore and return to normal function. Performed regularly and carefully with a qualified instructor, Pilates can help decrease back and general body pain, as well as improve mood and mind. Many rehabilitation clients are eventually able to participate in our small group classes, while some stay in Individual Appointments because they thrive in one-on-one care.
Our Certified instructors are trained and qualified to work with your special health considerations as well. We are compassionate and sensitive to your pain and concerns, and we will work patiently and consistently with you toward your goals. Our instructors will carefully review your health history information including your injuries, surgeries, any additional conditions, and medications. We are happy to contact your physician or other health providers, with your permission, for any additional information to assist you in integrating Pilates rehabilitation exercises in to your recovery or exercise program.
Let our Pilates rehabilitation specialists design a program specifically for you taking into account your physical limitations and concerns. The goal will be to normalize incorrect movement patterns and to regain optimal function.
