Pilates Primer
Ready to get started? All new students to Springs Pilates Pleasanton are required to attend a Pilates Primer appointment regardless of Pilates experience. We will evaluate both your alignment and movement ability and then customize a workout plan for your specific needs and goals. It is also important for us to ensure that each individual understand the key principles of the Pilates method. Small Group Classes are level-based and we want to place you in the group that will allow you to learn at the proper pace.
In this 55-minue Primer appointment we will:
- review your written New Client Information and Health History form
- identify your goals
- get familiar with studio offerings and policies
- do a preliminary posture and general movement analysis
- pair you with your first instructor
- recommend Appointments or Classes based on your needs and schedule
- introduce the Five Basic Principles of Pilates exercises
- isolate the core muscles
- listen to the cues you will hear in the studio
- schedule your next visit
